What to Expect
Create a 4×4 fused glass suncatcher on a clear background to hang in your window.
The class
will be held at The Mercantile,on April 19th from 1pm-3pm. The base glass will be cut for you and a variety of accessories will be available for you to decorate your piece. No glass cutting will be required.
At the end of class, each student will put their piece in a box with their name and phone number on it and I will take it home, fire it and then add the chain to hang it and return it to The Mercantile for you to pick up. This process usually takes about 10 days.
Students must be 16 or above and wearing closed toed shoes.
No experience necessary. The class fee is $40 and includes all materials.

Want to learn a fun and creative painting technique? Join Linda Kapp of Kapp’s Kreations as she teaches you how to create this beautiful Dot Art project on Thursday, April 23, from 2–4 PM & 6-8 PM at The Mercantile, 13 E. Main Street, Mechanicsburg, PA.Participants will work on a flat 12” wooden disc. The disc will be painted with a DecoArt Black and then dotted with step-by-step instructions from Linda using styluses, acrylic rods, and DecoArt paints using yellow, orange, white, green and black to create a design similar to the photograph shown.No experience is necessary. The class fee is $35 and includes all materials. Dot Art tools will be available for purchase after class for those who are interested. Enjoy a relaxing afternoon/evening, learn a new technique, and leave with a one-of-a-kind handmade piece!

Join Linda Kapp at The Mercantile for a hands-on workshop where you’ll learn the basics of creating your own A5 (5.5” × 8.3”) spiral-bound lined notebook cover. Two separate classes are being offered on the same day, one from 2–4 PM and another from 6–8 PM, and participants may register for either session.
In this class, participants will explore simple techniques for making abstract dot designs using a variety of styluses, acrylic rods, and DecoArt Americana paints. Participants will create unique patterns and textures that transform a plain notebook into a personalized work of art.
This beginner-friendly class is perfect for anyone interested in creative painting techniques, and no prior experience is required. By the end of the session, each participant will have a beautifully decorated notebook cover and the skills to continue experimenting with dot painting designs at home.

It’s a chicken party! We will be needle felting a rather adorable chicken! No prior skill needed. You will learn the basics of needle felting as well as a few added techniques. There will be prizes and lunch will be provided!! It will be a very good time! $70
